About the role

JG Manpower & General Contractor Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in San Fernando, Pampanga. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organisation. This full-time position will involve a variety of accounting duties, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting key business decisions.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Maintaining general ledger accounts and ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions
  • Reconciling bank statements and other accounts on a regular basis
  • Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Providing financial advice and insights to management to support strategic decision-making
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and analysis
  • Continuously improving accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the construction or contracting industry
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and tax regulations
  • Proficient in using financial software, spreadsheets, and other relevant technology
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
