The Opportunity

JG Manpower & General Contractor Services Corporation, a leading provider of manpower and general contracting services, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team in San Fernando Pampanga. This full-time role is a crucial part of our growing finance department, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections
  2. Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a regular basis
  3. Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and categorised
  4. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  5. Support the month-end and year-end closing process, including the preparation of adjusting entries and accruals
  6. Conduct analysis and provide insights to help drive financial decision-making
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, policies, and regulations
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and support operational activities

What We're Looking For

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  2. 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the construction or manpower services industry
  3. Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards
  4. Proficient in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial management tools
  5. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  7. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks and priorities
