Debt Transaction Support Officer

Contract Duration:
12 months fixed-term, with possibility of extension or absorption into a permanent role depending on portfolio growth and performance.

Position Overview

The Debt Transaction Support Staff will provide end-to-end transaction support for debt financing of a portfolio of commercial & industrial (C&I) solar projects in the Philippines. Working closely with the finance, legal, and project development teams, as well as local financiers, this role will ensure the efficient execution of structured finance deals, compliance with lender requirements, and proper documentation of financing agreements.

This position is project-based and time-bound (12 months), making it suitable for a professional with strong financial, analytical, and coordination skills who can accelerate deal flow and help close transactions with local banks and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transaction Support & Execution

• Assist in the preparation, review, and coordination of financing documentation (term sheets, loan agreements, security documents, direct agreements).

• Maintain data rooms and ensure accurate, updated information is available for lenders, advisors, and internal stakeholders.

• Support financial structuring, debt sizing, and scenario analysis for project financing.

• Coordinate responses to lender due diligence queries (technical, financial, legal, tax, insurance, and regulatory).

• Track conditions precedent (CPs) and conditions subsequent (CSs) for loan drawdowns and disbursements.

2. Financial Analysis & Modeling

• Assist in updating and stress-testing financial models to reflect lender case assumptions, sensitivities, and compliance metrics (DSCR, LLCR, gearing).

• Support preparation of internal credit memos and presentations for management and investment committees.

• Conduct benchmarking of financing terms from local financiers (tenor, pricing, security package, covenants).

3. Stakeholder Management

• Act as transaction coordinator between the company, lenders, legal counsel, advisors, and internal project teams.

• Schedule and document key financing meetings, negotiation sessions, and approvals.

• Liaise with local financiers on reporting requirements, compliance certificates, and drawdown processes.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure all project documents align with financing requirements (EPC, O&M, land lease, PPA, permits).

• Monitor compliance with debt covenants and reporting obligations.

• Support audits and financial reporting related to project finance structures.

5. Project Monitoring & Reporting

• Track progress of financing timelines against project milestones (NTP, COD).

• Prepare weekly transaction status reports for senior management.

• Consolidate financing cost assumptions for project CAPEX budgets.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in corporate finance, structured/project finance, or investment banking.

• Prior exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, or utilities financing preferred.

• Experience working with Philippine banks and financial institutions strongly advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of project finance principles, debt structuring, and credit analysis.

• Proficiency in financial modeling (Excel-based project finance models).

• Familiarity with loan agreements, security documents, and transaction structuring.

• Understanding of C&I solar project lifecycle, regulatory environment, and key risks.

Soft Skills

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholders across lenders, advisors, and internal teams.

Remuneration & Benefits

Base Salary:
Competitive monthly gross salary in the range of
₱45,000 – ₱75,000
, depending on qualifications and experience.

Completion Bonus:
Performance-based incentive of
₱50,000 – ₱150,000
, tied to successful debt transaction closings and fulfillment of financing milestones.
