Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Django Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust web applications and backend services. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions, leveraging Django REST Framework, Celery, and modern cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain backend systems using Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Develop database models and optimize queries with Django ORM (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with frontend frameworks or microservices.
  • Write and maintain unit tests using pytest or Django's testing framework.
  • Implement background tasks using Celery and manage task queues.
  • Work with caching tools to optimize application performance.
  • Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD pipeline integration and Docker-based deployments.
  • Utilize AWS services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
  • Implement GraphQL APIs as required.
  • Support frontend integration with React, Vue, or template-based Django frontends.
  • Contribute to microservices architecture or domain-driven design patterns.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience with Django REST Framework and Django ORM.
  • Solid understanding of MVC architecture, backend design patterns, and REST API design.
  • Proficiency in version control with Git and CI/CD tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Celery and background job processing.
  • Knowledge of caching tools and performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience writing unit tests with pytest or Django's framework.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based deployments.
  • Experience with Docker or containerized environments.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL and frontend integration.
  • Experience in microservices or domain-driven design.

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of additional backend languages or frameworks.
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks beyond React or Vue.
