A leader across APAC in luxury and consumer lifestyle is seeking an experienced 
Group Financial Controller
 to lead its finance function across Southeast Asia and Japan. This is a high-impact role for a senior finance professional who thrives in a multi-market environment and wants to play a pivotal role in shaping regional strategy and business growth.

What You Will Do

  • Lead finance operations across SEA and Japan, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with local regulations, and high standards of corporate governance.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions, commercial strategy, and growth initiatives.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and risk mitigation across multiple markets.
  • Ensure compliance with SEA and Japan tax regulations, statutory requirements, and audits.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional finance team of 20+ professionals.
  • Drive process efficiency and standardization across the region; champion ERP and digital finance systems.

What We Are Looking For

  • CPA-qualified with 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 3+ years at a senior Financial Controller or Group level.
  • Proven experience leading finance teams of 20+ in multi-country environments, ideally within SEA and Japan.
  • Deep knowledge of SEA and Japan tax regimes, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise across the full finance function: AR/AP, tax, audit, consolidation, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and ability to turn financial insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to partner with C-suite executives in decision-making.
  • Fluent in English; additional SEA or Japanese language skills a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Q3F, SAP preferred) and MS Office (Excel mastery).
