The Logistics Process Lead position is responsible for overseeing and improving logistics processes to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals. The Logistics Process Lead plays a critical role in analyzing current workflows, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing logistics operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
1. Prioritized Tasks
- Process Optimization: Analyze and improve logistics processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Leadership: Lead and guide logistics teams in implementing process improvements and managing daily operations.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all logistics processes comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align logistics processes with broader business objectives.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators to measure the success of process improvements.
2. In Charge of Process Optimization
- Process Analysis: Evaluate existing logistics workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation, warehousing, and inventory management processes.
- Technology Integration: Leverage technology, such as logistics management systems, to streamline operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce logistics costs without compromising service quality.
3. Ensures Compliance Management
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes in logistics regulations and industry standards.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with logistics regulations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Policy Development: Contribute to the development of logistics compliance policies and procedures.
- Training Programs: Develop and conduct training programs on compliance matters for cross-functional teams.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
4. Maintains Collaboration
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for logistics-related matters with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, such as operations and finance, to ensure aligned operations.
- Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate rates, manage capacity, and resolve issues.
- Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from stakeholders to improve logistics processes.
- Issue Resolution: Proactively address logistics-related issues, such as delays or missed deliveries.
5. Conducts Performance Monitoring
- KPI Development: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and transportation costs.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare regular reports on logistics performance to inform strategic decisions.
- Benchmarking: Compare performance metrics against industry benchmarks to identify areas for improvement.
- SLA Management: Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and operational metrics.
- Continuous Monitoring: Continuously monitor logistics operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills:
- Must be a Bachelor's Degree Holder in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical) or related field
- With at least 4-6 years of experience in Logistics Management, Process Optimization, or a similar role
- With relevant experience in process optimization, team leadership, compliance management, collaboration, and performance monitoring
- Certifications in Supply Chain Management and/or Production and Inventory Management are an advantage
- Strong analytics, leadership, and communication skills
- Experience in managing logistics teams and driving process improvements
