Brand Associate

Responsible for managing assigned brand/product, developing, and executing marketing plans, consistent with current and long-range departmental and company sales and profit objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. TRADE MARKETING
- Prepares, recommends, and provides support to Sales Team through development of volume-generating and offtake-generating promotions and efforts
 - Ensures on-time implementation of consumer promotions through close coordination
 - with cross-functional departments (e.g., purchasing, production, accounting, logistics, supply chain, sales, etc.)
 - Plans, leads, motivate, organize and control 3rd -party providers (promo agency, bundling agency, design agency, etc.) to support sales efforts and brand building:
 
a. Spot trends and opportunities for brand events and consumer promotions
b. Perform consumer in sighting during promotional activities
c. Plan manpower requirements and ensure proper execution of promo efforts
- Support local sales initiatives by coordinating requested promotional support and deployment of materials
 - Controls actual promotions spendings vis-a-vis approved budget
 - Evaluates major trade efforts to determine effectiveness and efficiencies, and recommends future actions
 - Control the maintenance, allocation, and dispatch of all POS and promo materials.
 - Ensure that all POS materials are accounted for and properly utilized.
 - Coordinate and monitor promo efforts closely with sales team
 - Conducts regular competitive trade checks to check for opportunities/threats present in the market, including competitive price checks to determine own brand's competitive advantage
 
B. PRODUCT INNOVATION
- Prepares initial briefs, coordinates development requirements with local/regional counterparts, finalizes packaging design and specifications
 - Prepares initial business plan that will justify/launch of new products in the market, through evaluation of competitive landscape, market and consumer trends and presenting to Brand/Marketing Manager or Business Manager for endorsement
 - Briefs and supervises creative team in developing brand names, packaging designs for new products that will attract the identified target market
 - Recommends optimum price points vis-à-vis competition and/or against consumer's purchase power for evaluation of Brand/Marketing Manager or Business Manager
 - Develops launch plan, including target channels, initial pipeline volume, and investment budget to support new product for endorsement of Brand/Marketing Manager or Business Manager
 
C. FINANCIALS
- Closely monitors achievement of monthly sales targets and speed to market of promo SKUs
 - Negotiates with 3rd -party suppliers in providing lowest cost, or additional mileage
 
D. SUPPLY AND DEMAND
- Prepares monthly forecast for imported orders/local production to ensure sufficient supply of products for selling
 - Regularly monitors shipments receipt in the system and movement of stocks from DMI warehouse to trade and depots to identify SKUs with critical supply
 
E. ADMINISTRATIVE
- Regularly monitors and tracks actual spending vs budget
 - Facilitates processing of billings from suppliers per approved budget/MSRF/Promo Briefs
 - Facilitates processing of claims from principals and/or suppliers
 - Ensures timely and accurate submission of reports to agencies and management
