About the Role:
- A Retail Sales Specialist is the control tower for retail inventory: you'll translate daily ground data from 60+ merchandisers into precise product allocations by store, SKUs, and delivery window to maximize sell-through and minimize pull-outs for highly perishable items.
What You'll Do:
- You are direct reporting to the Retail Sales Manager, and Co-Founder.
- You'll come up with and dictate clear, actionable insights and actions to top management to improve retail sales and growth around the Philippines.
- You'll do store visits and build relationships with merchandisers, coordinators & store buyers.
- You'll co-design and streamline processes and tools that keep farms, logistics, and retail perfectly in sync.
Team context: Retail sits alongside F&B and Offtakers as a primary sales channel for the business with a four-person central team that you will be a part of.
- You'll work closely with the Sales Manager (key accounts + team leadership), Sales associate (allocation focused), and another sales associate (merchandiser, coordinator and store management, admin).
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Background in FMCG/brand management/retail, demand planning, merchandise operations, or sales ops preferred; perishables experience is a strong advantage.
- Advanced Google Sheets/Excel (pivots, lookups, basic modeling).
- Experience with BI tools. Comfortable turning noisy field data into crisp decisions.
- You enjoy building repeatable workflows, templates, and standard operating procedures (SOP)s that scale (and you actually document them).
- Can coordinate with merchandisers, logistics, cross-functional departments, and buyers with equal ease; concise in updates to management.
- You iterate fast, course-correct daily, and don't let problems age — especially with perishable goods.
- You value ground truth; you're comfortable in stores, backrooms, and chillers to validate what the data says.
- Belief in ethical, farmer-friendly agriculture and data-driven decisions that reduce waste and improve access to fresh produce.
- Nice to haves: promotion, marketing planning; planogram or category management; English & Filipino proficiency.
- Preferably located at or Near Manila-based with office days + flexible work from home (WFH); (hybrid set-up)
- Regular retail store and supermarket visits required.
(Across Metro Manila to understand store-level realities (shoppers, planograms, chillers, staff practices) and validate data.
Work Location: Based in Metro Manila; must be willing to do regular store visits.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the company representative: with supermarket category managers, buyers and store leads, building strong, trust-based relationships. Be the representative at in-store events, trade activities, and other client-facing opportunities
- Support the Retail Sales Manager: in managing existing accounts and identifying upsell opportunities.
- Retail channel expansion: scout and develop new retail opportunities, including secondary cities and new supermarket chains. Support in preparing proposals, presentations, and business cases for new retail partnerships.
- Guard freshness economics: drive down waste and pull-outs via right-sizing orders, micro-replenishment, and targeted markdowns or substitutions when needed.
- Forecast & sales and operations support: translate sales trends and promos into short-term demand signals for agronomy/harvest and logistics; flag exceptions early (weather, promo lifts, competitor moves).
- Process & tooling: build/maintain simple but robust trackers and dashboards (e.g., allocation planner, DOS & OSA monitors, pull-out heatmaps); standardize inputs from 60+ merchandisers for consistency.
- Store intelligence: conduct routine store walks to validate data, observe shopper behavior, assess display and planogram compliance, and recommend shelf/assortment tweaks. Suggest process improvements to streamline allocation, sales, and distribution workflows.
- Cross-functional coordination: sync daily with Farms/Agronomy, Logistics, and Sales
- Reporting to management: publish clear, visual weekly and monthly readouts on sell-through, OSA, waste %, forecast accuracy, and root causes with corrective actions.
- Risk & exception handling: manage shortages, substitutions, and delivery constraints with minimal service impact; escalate systemic issues with data and options.
