Your Role

As an Accountant, you are responsible for:

  • Oversee end-of-month processes using checklists, including financial reporting and ledger reconciliation.
  • Conduct weekly bank reconciliations, cashflow forecasting, and priority supplier payments.
  • Manage direct reports across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, End-of-Month tasks, People and Culture, Administration, and Events, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Promote effective collaboration between offshore and onshore teams to maintain workflow and alignment with business objectives.

  • Prepare tax lodgements, including:

  • Quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and monthly Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).

  • Working papers for Fringe Benefits Tax Return, Financial Report, and Income Tax Return in collaboration with external tax accountants.
  • Provide support for ad hoc financial and administrative queries and reporting.
  • Act as the main contact for team queries, offering clear guidance to maintain efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years' experience in a similar role or as an Assistant Accountant ready to step up.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability to new tools and software.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
