Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company's financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting audit processes. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and audit experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting functions.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and liaising with auditors.
  • Oversee of filing all required tax returns and reports with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Oversee in tax planning and ensure timely payment of taxes, including VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and other relevant taxes.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies; provide insights to management.
  • Implement and improve accounting controls and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and government regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA designation required.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably including audit experience at a public accounting firm or in-house audit team.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and Philippine tax laws (BIR regulations).
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality.
