Position Overview
The Business Development Manager – Sales (SAP Solutions) is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for SAP products and services. The role requires strong expertise in enterprise software sales, client relationship management, and the ability to work closely with technical and consulting teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets for SAP solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress toward sales goals.
- Client Relationship Management
- Establish and nurture long-term client relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Understand client business needs and pain points to position SAP solutions effectively.
- Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations to secure new accounts.
- Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with pre-sales, delivery, and consulting teams to develop customized proposals and solutions.
- Partner with SAP ecosystem stakeholders, including SAP account executives, to co-sell and expand market coverage.
- Ensure seamless transition from sales to implementation teams for project success and client satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to stay ahead in the industry.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to management.
- Contribute to the development of sales playbooks, go-to-market strategies, and value propositions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in enterprise software solutions, preferably SAP or ERP systems.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules (ERP, S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.) and related IT solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to engage at C-level.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working independently and in teams.
