Our design process fully considers the installation and maintenance practicalities on site.As part of the Global Power Systems and Infrastructure team, this role will provide ICT design and support expertise to complement and enhance our Mechanical, Electrical and Lead Design Management teams during Site Due Diligence or Land Acquisition activities. This is a leadership role with responsibility for developing a team capable of providing ICT system and security designs for projects delivered by Black & White.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESProvide expert analysis during Site Due Diligence and Land Acquisition activitiesCapable of producing designs to RIBA stage 4 and beyondPreparation of detailed design and specifications for ICT systems, both passive and activeUnderstand the integration with BMS / EPMS networksExperience in communication room layout, sizing and designICT cabinet and cabling containment designStructured cabling design and telecoms planningDeep understanding and knowledge of wireless and LAN switch networksUnderstand connected real estate and advise clients on the most feasible designSpecify the requirements for Installation and configuration of ICT hardwareSpecify the requirements for management and monitoring networksSpecify the requirements for administering and support of business applicationsDefine the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets.The designs and analysis will extend to other third-party Internet Protocol (IP) based technologies including:Security – CCTV and Access Control, intrusion detectionIntelligent building componentsCommon Network Systems (CNS), including integration with third-party MEP services, including but not limited to Lighting Control, BMS, and other building related services and systemsThere may be requirements for site inspections, attending client design meetings, witness testingADDITIONAL ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES (QHSE)All roles include responsibility for health and safety in line with the requirements set out in the Employee Handbook.Awareness of H&S policies and procedures and impact on yourself and teamEnsure all staff members complete mandatory compliance training when requiredReport any accidents, incidents, near misses appropriatelyROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES (RESOURCES)This is a senior appointment and will be required to develop full ICT delivery capability including budget setting and achieving internal targetsResponsible for the development and delivery of the strategic roadmap to grow the team and revenueEDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENT (MINIMUM)Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ICT, or related field.Professional certifications (desirable): Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Security+, ITILEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM)Strong knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems.Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Project management and organizational skillsGETTING RESULTS AND WORKING TOGETHERThe post holder will be expected to operate in line with our workplace values:ACCOUNTABILITY > Everyone is accountable.INTEGRITY > We are straight talking, respectful and fair.SIMPLICITY > Both in our approach and solutions.SUPPORTIVE > We are approachable, inclusive and recognise success.QUALITY > We strive to get it right first time, every time.
