  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Job Description

The Software QA Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process across both manual and automated testing efforts. This role ensures that software products meet functional, performance, and security standards before release. The QA Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams, mentors QA engineers, and drives continuous improvement in testing practices.

  • Manual Testing

  • Lead requirement analysis and test case design for manual testing.

  • Ensure thorough test coverage for functional, regression, and exploratory testing.

  • Review and approve test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.

  • Manage defect lifecycle and ensure timely resolution.

  • Automation Testing

  • Define and implement automation strategy across projects.

  • Select appropriate tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

  • Oversee development and maintenance of automated test scripts.

  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Process & Leadership

  • Conduct test planning, estimation, and resource allocation.

  • Facilitate QA reviews, retrospectives, and triage meetings.

  • Track and report QA metrics (defect density, test coverage, etc.).

  • Mentor and coach QA engineers in both manual and automation practices.
