What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will be reporting to our Operations Manager based in the Philippines. You'll play a key role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You'll collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors while driving process improvements and maintaining data integrity.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Execute and audit end-to-end payroll processing with precision and timeliness.
  • Handle complex pay scenarios such as bonuses, retro pay, and final pay computations.
  • Manage government remittances, benefits, and tax filings in full compliance with local laws.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, ensuring excellent service and confidentiality.
  • Reconcile payroll data against the general ledger and reporting systems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement across payroll systems.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure smooth data flow and system integrity.
  • Liaise with external vendors, monitor SLAs, and verify billing accuracy.

What You'll Bring

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in full-cycle payroll management.
  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as Sprout, Xero, or similar HRIS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Philippine payroll regulations, including tax, SSS, PhilHealth, and HDMF compliance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data reconciliation).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for explaining complex payroll concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience with system integrations between payroll, HRIS, and timekeeping platforms.
  • Exposure to process automation or system implementation projects.
  • Experience working in a shared services or global outsourcing environment.Leadership experience mentoring junior payroll team members.
