Assistant Manager Business Development

About the Role
This position involves supporting the identification, evaluation, and execution of land acquisition opportunities and development activities for Utility Scale Renewables (Solar, Wind, and Storage). The role requires a mix of technical understanding, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and evaluating land acquisition opportunities.
- Support permitting processes for solar projects.
- Assist in preparing project development plans, resource assessments, and development studies.
- Maintain and update the development pipeline by coordinating with partners and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports on development progress and assist in bid submissions.
- Support due diligence, asset valuations, and contract negotiations for renewable energy projects.
- Coordinate with grid team on network connection applications and agreements.
- Assist in overseeing development activities from design to construction phases.
- Build and maintain relationships with authorities, regulators, utilities, developers, and contractors.
- Participate in discussions related to PPA, contracts, and MOUs under guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any field (Finance or Engineering preferred).
- Fresh grads are encouraged to apply
- 1–5 years of experience
in Business Development, preferably in renewable energy or related sectors. - Basic knowledge of solar/LSS industry and project development processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with bid requirements for renewable energy projects.
- Exposure to proposal writing and project coordination.
- Understanding of regulatory and permitting processes.
