Senior AU Tax Accountant

This is a remote position.Philippine-based Filipino Applicants.IMPORTANT: This is a full time position. Proven Australian taxation and accounting experience and XERO Certification are required for this role.Key Responsibilities:Review financial data, including the accuracy of coding

Preparation of annual financial statements for various entity structures

Completion of annual tax returns within business timeframes

Assisting with the completion of bookkeeping duties and BAS lodgement (where required)RequirementsAustralian taxation and accounting experience is required6 years' experience with a public practice/accounting firm offering Australian taxation services is required

Knowledge and experience in accounting for companies, partnerships and trusts, including preparation of financial statements and annual tax returns

Strong working experience with Xero, XPM and other various accounting systems

Xero Certified is required

Sound understanding of the Australian GST system (including BAS and IAS)Preferably with Office 365, Karbon, and SuperMate experience

Qualified Accountant/CPA highly desirable

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Must have great attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow process/system

Must be proactive, highly organised and self-motivated

Motivated to continue learning and progressing in their career

Work Environment & ExpectationsWhile this is a work-from-home position, it is important to note that this is a full-time role—not a freelance or flexible-hour arrangement. You will be expected to work a fixed shift and maintain a high level of professionalism and accountability, just as you would in an office environment. This role requires:

• Discipline and commitment to set working hours (strict shift times, not flexible)
• Use of time-tracking software during work hours
• Active participation in team and client calls with your camera ON
• Consistent availability and responsiveness throughout your shift
• Treating this as a long-term, full-time job—not a side gig or freelance task Payroll is processed bi-monthly.

Monthly Salary: Php50,0002. Salary will be paid on a bi-monthly basis on the 15th and 30th or 31st of each month3. You will be paid extra for overtime and Philippines public holidays4.

Probation: 6 months and after Probation10 days annual leave credits5 days of sick leave5. HMO offered after 6-months probation6. 13th Month Pay after 30 days7.

Laptop provided after 30 days8. Permanent work-from-home role. You will have to use your own internet.9.
