POSITION SUMMARY

The Meat Process Team Member is responsible for assisting in the preparation, processing, and packaging of meat products in a commissary facility. This role involves following established procedures for cutting, grinding, marinating, portioning, and packing various meat products while adhering to quality, safety, and sanitation standards. The Meat Process Team Member plays a vital role in ensuring that all products meet company specifications and customer requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, marinating, and portioning meat products following standardized recipes and portioning guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of meat for processing, ensuring that all meat products are handled safely and hygienically.
  • Operate processing equipment, including slicers, grinders, mixers, and other machinery, according to safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Inspect meat products throughout the process to ensure they meet quality standards in size, weight, texture, and appearance.
  • Follow portion control guidelines precisely to reduce waste and maintain consistency across all processed products.
  • Report any quality issues or deviations in the production process to the Meat Process Supervisor for immediate resolution.
  • Package finished meat products according to specifications, ensuring secure and accurate packaging and labeling for storage or distribution.
  • Ensure that all packaged products are properly labeled with necessary information, including weight, product type, and expiration dates.
  • Rotate stock based on FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to maintain freshness and reduce spoilage.
  • Safely operate and maintain meat processing equipment, including cleaning, sanitizing, and storing equipment after each use.
  • Monitor equipment for any malfunctions or safety issues, reporting any maintenance needs to the Meat Process Supervisor.
  • Use knives, slicers, and other tools with proper technique and care, following safety protocols at all times.
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, including personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines, to prevent contamination.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize work surfaces, tools, and equipment as part of daily and end-of-shift routines.

QUALIFICATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent; basic training in meat handling or food production is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in meat processing, food production, or a similar role is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow portioning and quality guidelines precisely for consistency in processed products.
  • Basic Knife and Equipment Skills: Familiarity with meat processing equipment and safe handling practices.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently within set production timelines.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other team members.
  • Safety Awareness: Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php18, Php18,100.00 per month
