Design and Permitting Assistant

  • Various project sites and offices across the Philippines (travel required)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting rooftop site surveys for photovoltaic (PV) system design

  • Measure and record rooftop dimensions using laser distance meters and other tools

  • Capture site photographs, including rooftop structures, electrical panels, and utility meters - Collect and organize technical data for engineering design use

  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of survey data

  • Assist in preparing basic site survey reports

Permitting Support Tasks:

  • Support preparation of permitting documents required for solar project implementation (e.g., Net-Metering application, Distribution Impact Study, Building Permit)

  • Assist in gathering required documentation such as building plans, electrical permits, and property ownership records

  • Coordinate with local government units (LGUs), utility companies (e.g., Meralco), and other agencies for document submissions and follow-ups

  • Maintain and update a permitting tracker to monitor status and deadlines

  • Ensure that all permitting documentation is submitted accurately and in a timely manner - Work with internal engineering and legal teams to align documents with project requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Renewable Energy, or related fields

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

  • Familiarity with basic survey tools and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, OneDrive)

  • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with external offices and internal departments

  • Willingness to travel and work on-site or at permitting offices when required

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working in teams

  • Basic knowledge of solar permitting processes and Net-Metering procedures is a strong advantage

  • Driving skills or knowledge of local languages are a plus
