Job Summary

The Architectural In-charge is the overall in-charge of all architectural related works of the project.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the project team on the technical details of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection works of the project.
  • Supervise the preparation of body plans, wall setting-out plans, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and all other plans and drawings assigned to the department.
  • Attend and at certain times, conduct technical meetings and plan review meetings.
  • Review the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection plans.
  • Report discrepancies or design issues between the architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing & sanitary, and fire protection plans to the Project Manager and shall prepare the necessary clarificatory documents.
  • Monitor and follow up the resolution of the discrepancies or design issues in the construction drawings.
  • Report to the Project Manager with the delays in the resolution of design issues and prepare follow up correspondence to CMT/PMT.
  • Report discrepancy between bid plans and For Construction Drawings (FCD).
  • Report changes from CMT/PMT site instructions and/or PMI.
  • Ensure that the drawings released on site for implementation are accurate and updated.
  • Perform quality assessment of site works through daily observation, measurement and inspection.
  • Report non-conformances to the Project Manager.
  • Assist the project team in ensuring good housekeeping within the project site.
  • Ensure that the company's safety and security program is properly implemented.
  • Monitor project activity and accomplishment.
  • Validate/evaluate subcontractor accomplishment and billing.
  • Supervise and delegate activities of the site architect.

Qualification and Skills Requirement

  • Degree in Architecture
  • Proven 3-5 years working experience as an Architect in a construction industry
  • Knowledgeable with construction activities sequence
