The Cost Accountant is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting cost-related data to support financial planning, budgeting, inventory valuation, and performance evaluation. The role ensures accurate cost allocation, supports variance analysis, and contributes to efficient decision-making through cost insights.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze cost data, including materials, labor, and overhead
  • Assist in preparing cost reports and monitoring variances
  • Support inventory valuation and reconciliation
  • Maintain accurate cost records in the accounting system
  • Participate in month-end closing and post cost-related journal entries
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather cost-related information
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and internal audits related to costing

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Management Accounting, and any math-related field.
  • Entry to mid-level experience in accounting or costing. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • 2 years experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and cost control
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, Odoo)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently or in a team
