Compensation and Benefits Assistant Manager

Job Summary:
The Compensation & Benefits Assistant Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the company's compensation structures and benefits programs to ensure internal equity, market competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and high employee engagement. The role ensures that all compensation and benefits programs support the company's workforce needs and business goals across all manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain competitive salary structures, pay scales, and job grading systems for all departments and plant locations.
- Lead annual compensation reviews, merit increases, and salary benchmarking against industry standards.
- Conduct job evaluations, salary surveys, and market analysis to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
- Manage payroll policies in collaboration with HR, Finance, and Plant HR teams.
- Recommend and implement compensation strategies that attract, retain, and motivate employees.
- Oversee company-wide benefits programs including HMO, group insurance, allowances, government-mandated benefits, and employee wellness programs.
- Evaluate and negotiate with insurance and benefits providers to optimize coverage and cost.
- Ensure proper administration of leave benefits, incentives, and retirement programs.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and government requirements (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, DOLE).
- Review and update compensation and benefits policies, ensuring alignment with company standards and legal requirements.
- Prepare and maintain audit reports, memos, and documentation for compliance and internal processes.
- Analyze C&B data, compensation trends, and workforce metrics to support HR and management decision-making.
- Provide management reports on labor costs, payroll budgets, salary movements, and benefits utilization.
- Address employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and policies.
- Lead communication and orientations on compensation and welfare programs.
- Support HR initiatives that improve employee experience, morale, and retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5–8 years experience in compensation and benefits, payroll, or HR operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, government benefits, job classification, and salary structure.
