ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are urgently looking for a Compliance Officer who will ensure that all company operations and project activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and internal standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the company's reputation, governance, and operational integrity.

The Compliance Officer will work closely with the President and department heads to promote a culture of accountability and ethical compliance throughout the organization.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Compliance Management System.

Ensure adherence to labor laws, government permits, safety regulations, and financial reporting standards.

Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments, and internal reviews across projects and departments.

Monitor compliance with DOLE, BIR, DTI, DPWH, and LGU requirements relevant to construction operations.

Recommend corrective actions and track the implementation of compliance measures.

Advise management on emerging regulatory changes, legal updates, and company policy revisions.

Prepare regular compliance and risk status reports for the President and management team.

Lead training and awareness sessions to reinforce the company's compliance culture.

Strong background in audit, risk management, and policy enforcement.

  1. Compliance with all government and statutory requirements.

  2. Timely submission of licenses, permits, and regulatory reports.

  3. Risk identification, management, and mitigation.

  4. Implementation of compliance monitoring systems and policies.

  5. Conduct of compliance awareness and training programs.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):

100% renewal and submission of permits before due dates.

90% reduction in non-compliance or audit findings within 12 months.

Zero penalties, legal cases, or government violations.

Minimum of 4 compliance audits or monitoring activities per quarter.

100% of employees trained on compliance policies annually.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Law, Legal Management, Accountancy, Business Administration, or equivalent.

At least 5 years of solid experience in compliance, internal audit, or governance — ideally from a construction or engineering company.

Strong familiarity with labor, safety, and environmental laws.

Must have excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Willing to be assigned in Cebu City and travel to project sites when necessary.
