Position Title: Structural Design Engineer
Work Set-up: Work from Home/Work from Office
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM PH Time (Changes during DST)
Salary: Php 80,000.00 – Php 150,000.00

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Your Responsibilities as Structural Design Engineer would be:

• Develop structural designs for complex scaffolding systems using aluminum and steel.

• Perform accurate load calculations, stress analysis, and structural assessments.

• Design scaffold structures in compliance with Australian Standards (e.g., AS/NZS 1576).

• Prepare engineering drawings, design reports, and calculation packages.

• Use ETABS for structural modeling and analysis of temporary and permanent structures.

• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure safe and buildable designs.

• Provide technical support and guidance to drafters and field staff.

• Ensure all designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet required codes and regulations.

• Adapt designs for scaffold systems such as Layher, AT-PAC, Cuplock, or similar.

• Work independently with minimal supervision and deliver high-quality outcomes on time.

Qualifications as Structural Design Engineer:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

• 10–15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on scaffolding and temporary works.

• Proficient in ETABS for structural design and analysis.

• Strong understanding of scaffold systems including Layher, AT-PAC, or similar modular systems.

• Expert-level knowledge in both steel and aluminum material behavior and load paths.

• Deep familiarity with Australian Standards for scaffold and structural design.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong IT skills including MS Office, structural analysis software, and drawing review tools.

• Ability to manage workload independently and maintain high productivity without close supervision.

• Experience working directly with Australian contractors or builders is desirable.

• Understanding of site safety and installation constraints in scaffold erection is an advantage.
