General Accounting & Month End Closing

  • The senior finance analyst will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness and completeness of all transactions executed as part of the closing process. General accounting and month-end closing activities include:
  • Daily bank movements
  • Month-end entries such as accruals and other adjustments
  • Reconciliation and Analysis of all Balance Sheet and Income Statement

Reporting

  • The senior finance analyst will have a significant part of building the reporting framework of the COE (Manila Team) and creating and maintaining the reports to ensure the accurate and timely information is readily available to the stakeholders. These reports include but are not limited to the following:
  • Monthly accounts reconciliations and necessary documentation
  • Monthly SLA/KPI reporting

Compliance

  • The senior finance analyst will act as liaison between Malaysia, APAC and COE (Manila Team) in support of external audit and is responsible both preparation and submission of documents as required and timely communication and resolution of issues identified during any Audit.

Ad hoc activities

  • Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation, and data related to the above tasks. 
  • Assist with other ad hoc transactional and reporting activities within the COE (Manila Team)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (preferably CPA)
  • At least 8 years of experience in different areas in finance and accounting, including General accounting functions.
  • Background in BPO / Shared Service
  • Work Set-up: Able to work flexible hours as needed during peak times; may be on shifting schedule. Hybrid set-up
