About the role

PMQS Construction Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Ortigas Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time role that will play a crucial part in overseeing the financial aspects of our construction projects. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing budgets, analyzing costs, and ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
  • Continuously monitor and report on project costs, identifying and mitigating any potential overruns
  • Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts to ensure value for money
  • Provide expert advice to the project team on commercial and contractual matters
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve any commercial issues
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bids
  • Mentor and train more junior members of the quantity surveying team

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and quantity surveying principles
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favourable outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Membership with a professional body such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers (SISV)
