Job Summary

The Senior Purchasing Associate is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, supplies, and services to support company operations. This role involves sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating contracts, monitoring purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards. The Senior Purchasing Associate also supports the purchasing team, provides guidance to junior staff, and collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth procurement processes that align with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and vendors to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers.
  • Review and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse/production teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Track and follow up on orders to ensure accurate and on-time delivery.

Vendor & Contract Management

  • Maintain strong vendor relationships to support long-term procurement strategies.
  • Manage supplier records, contracts, and performance evaluations.
  • Resolve vendor issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.

Team & Process Support

  • Provide guidance and support to junior purchasing staff.
  • Collaborate with finance, warehouse, and operations teams to align procurement with business needs.
  • Recommend cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and industry standards.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and sourcing strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing software/ERP systems.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to be assigned full-time in Lipa, Batangas.
