Job Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations. Ensure the dining area, kitchen, and service areas are clean, organized, and functioning efficiently. Monitor service flow and ensure timely food and beverage delivery.
- Staff Supervision: Lead and support front-of-house staff (servers, bussers, hosts). Assist in scheduling shifts and ensuring proper staffing levels. Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-spot training as needed.
- Customer Service: Ensure guests receive excellent service throughout their dining experience.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints in a courteous and timely manner. Encourage staff to provide personalized and professional service.
- Quality and Standards: Maintain high standards of food, service, cleanliness, and safety.
- Check food presentation and service accuracy before dishes are served. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Communication and Coordination: Act as a liaison between service staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Communicate daily goals, updates, and feedback to team members.
- Report any issues or incidents to the Restaurant Manager.
- Inventory and Supplies: Monitor inventory levels of dining and service supplies (napkins, utensils, condiments, etc.). Report stock shortages to management or assist in ordering supplies as directed.
- Training and Development: Support the onboarding of new staff. Help train team members on service procedures, safety protocols, and guest interaction. Promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
- Opening and Closing Duties: Assist in opening preparations or end-of-day closing tasks. Check cleanliness, stock readiness, and staff readiness at opening. Ensure cash handling procedures and POS reconciliation are followed at closing.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to the Restaurant Manager. Help ensure employees meet service standards and follow operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Has a Basic/Average Knowledge: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Micros Opera System.
- Diploma in Hospitality Management.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management is an added advantage.
- Five (5) years at an Integrated Resort Hotel and Casino is an advantage.
- Three (3) years Supervisory experience.
- Preferably with F&B product and service knowledge in Casino setting.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
