Conduct regular assessments of IT infrastructure and systems performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
-Maintain open lines of communication with executives and department managers to ensure IT initiatives align with business objectives.
Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management regarding IT infrastructure and security matters.
Research and evaluate emerging IT solutions to enhance the organization's IT systems and infrastructure.
Make informed recommendations for IT system improvements and upgrades.
Lead and manage the IT team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities for team training and skill development to ensure the IT team remains knowledgeable and proficient.
Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Apply project management principles, procedures, and best practices to drive successful project outcomes.
-Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruptions to business operations during emergencies or data loss.
-Regularly review and update disaster recovery plans to ensure they are effective and up-to-date.
- Analyze IT infrastructure performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements.
-Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of IT infrastructure.
-Manage the IT staff, ensuring timely responses to organizational concerns and IT-related issues.
Address and resolve IT-related problems efficiently to maintain smooth operations.
Flexibly undertake other tasks and responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the IT department and the organization.
EDUCATION, TECHNICAL CAPABILITY AND CAREER:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, providing foundational knowledge in computer systems, software development, networking, and information security.
10 years of professional experience in IT roles, demonstrating progressive responsibility and leadership.
Advanced understanding of strategic management, project management, and leadership in IT environments.
Proficient in overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide IT systems, encompassing networks, servers, storage, and telecommunications.
Skilled in developing and enforcing security policies, conducting risk assessments, implementing security
measures (e.g., firewalls, encryption), and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Hands-on experience with various cloud platforms, including migration strategies, cost management, and optimizing infrastructure for scalability and performance.
-Familiarity with agile methodologies, continuous integration/continuous deployment, and version control systems to streamline software development processes.
-Proficiency in database design, administration, performance tuning, and data warehousing for efficient data management and retrieval.
Experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of IT projects aligned with organizational goals.
Knowledge of emerging IT trends and their applications in enhancing operational efficiency, customer experience, and competitive advantage.
Capability in evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to meet service level agreements and align technology solutions with business objectives.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, foster collaboration across departments, and mentor IT staff for professional development.
