JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for the review of accuracy and completeness of AP transactions, correct and timely preparation and submission of reports/schedules, effective and efficient resolution or escalation of issues, and satisfactory performance of other tasks assigned.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Reviews processed disbursement vouchers of trade and non-trade transactions prepared by Accounts Payable Associates

  2. Submits summary of disbursements, Business Online Banking (BOB) reports to the Treasury Department for retail and financing companies

  3. Analyzes and executes cancellation of disbursement

  4. Investigates long outstanding open AP on accounts handled by Accounts Payable Associates

  5. Checks printed Creditable Withholding Tax Certificates vs. disbursed transaction

  6. Connects with the Treasury Department the creation/update of cash cards

  7. Manages branch inquiries/supplier follow-ups

  8. Endorses monthly reports/schedules to Accounts Payable Section Head for review

  9. Conducts regular team meetings in the section

  10. Resolves minor issues within the section and reports major issues to the Payable Accounting Head

  11. Accomplishes all other duties that may be assigned from time to time

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  1. A College graduate of Accounting, Business Management, or Finance provided that the candidate has the required relevant work experience indicated and with the approval of the hiring manager and department head.

  2. Over 3 years of relevant working experience

  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  4. Good analytical and judgement/problem-solving skills

  5. Must be detail-oriented so as to avoid the possibility of serious errors and loss

  6. Demonstrates interpersonal skills for giving/receiving information and interacting with clients/employees

  7. Knowledgeable, or familiar with, MS Office or Google Suite
