What is the job?
The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that equip Care Advocates and support teams with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional member experiences. The role focuses on developing training materials, facilitating engaging sessions, and ensuring alignment with healthcare compliance standards and organizational goals. This position supports ongoing learning through onboarding, refresher training, and targeted skill development.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts training needs assessments with Team Leaders and Quality Analysts to identify skill gaps and development areas.
- Designs and updates training materials, job aids, and learning modules aligned with compliance and business goals.
- Facilitates engaging virtual and in-person sessions on healthcare plans, call handling, compliance, and member support.
- Tracks and evaluates training effectiveness to improve knowledge retention and performance.
- Coaches and supports new hires during onboarding, nesting, and transition phases.
- Collaborates with operations and quality teams to ensure training reflects current policies, procedures, and member expectations.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in training, learning and development, or healthcare/BPO coaching roles.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and healthcare/BPO processes.
- Skilled in preparing training materials, tracking performance metrics, and using digital training tools.
- Able to adapt training delivery to diverse learning styles and organizational needs.
- Collaborative and organized, with experience in e-learning design and familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, Medicare).
