JOB TITLE: General Manager
DEPARTMENT: Operations / Management
REPORTS TO: President / CEO / Owner
JOB SUMMARY:
The General Manager oversees the overall operations of the company to ensure efficiency,
productivity, and profitability. The GM is responsible for managing daily business activities,
developing strategic plans, improving performance, ensuring compliance, and fostering a
positive company culture.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Strategy
Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Lead and motivate department heads to achieve operational excellence.
Ensure clear communication of the company's vision and policies across all departments.
Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflow and high productivity.
- Monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure all business processes are aligned with company standards and regulatory
requirements.
Financial Management
Prepare and manage the company budget.
- Monitor financial performance and take corrective action when necessary.
Ensure cost-efficiency and profitability of operations.
Human Resources and Team Management
Supervise recruitment, training, and development of employees.
- Conduct performance reviews and set measurable targets.
Promote a healthy, collaborative, and goal-oriented work environment.
Business Development
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends.
- Support marketing and sales efforts to expand the company's reach.
Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and industry events.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure all operations comply with company policies, government regulations, and safety standards.
- Assess and manage potential risks to the business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5–10 years of management experience, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Can start ASAP.
