We are seeking a highly skilled Video Editor with strong experience in creating social-first content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. This role is ideal for editors who excel in thought-leadership style storytelling and can produce dynamic, high-retention short-form content similar to Alex Hormozi, Tony Robbins, Tim Ferriss, and other business influencers.


About the Role

You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into engaging, platform-ready videos that support personal branding, business coaching, and entrepreneur-focused content. You'll work closely with creative and marketing teams to deliver compelling short-form and long-form edits that align with modern social media trends.


Key Responsibilities
  • Edit short-form and long-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms
  • Create strong hook-driven intros, dynamic transitions, and retention-focused edits
  • Add motion graphics, captions, music, and animations to enhance storytelling
  • Repurpose long-form footage into engaging short-form clips
  • Collaborate with creative, social, and marketing teams
  • Work within deadlines while maintaining consistent quality

Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience editing social-first content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts)
  • Strong portfolio of thought-leadership content (business, mindset, personal branding)
  • Proven ability to craft high-retention hooks, pacing, and narrative flow

  • Portfolio aligned to modern social media content

  • Traditional commercial reels (food, automotive, etc.) will not be considered

Creative & Technical Proficiency
  • Strong sense of pacing, rhythm, and emotional tone
  • Skilled in captioning, motion graphics, meme-style overlays
  • Ability to repurpose long-form content into short-form clips
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects or DaVinci Resolve is a plus
  • Understanding of platform best practices and social media video trends

Preferred / Bonus Attributes
  • Experience editing content for personal brands, coaches, or business influencers
  • Understanding of social media algorithms and performance metrics
  • Ability to craft narrative structure from raw footage

Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of experience in video editing (agency or digital content experience preferred)
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, pacing, and social-first storytelling
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, sound design, and social media best practices
