Key Responsibilities
  • Review and organize raw footage, script, and other materials to determine the best approach for the final edit.
  • Manipulate and edit video pieces in a way that is logical, seamless, and visually compelling, maintaining consistency and continuity.
  • Cut, trim, and arrange video segments to the required length and specifications.
  • Input music, sound effects, dialogue, graphics, and special effects to enhance the narrative and production value.
  • Perform color correction/grading and sound mixing/cleaning to ensure high-quality and consistent output.
  • Collaborate with directors, producers, content creators, and other stakeholders throughout the post-production process, incorporating feedback as needed.
  • Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines, quality standards, and legal requirements (e.g., copyright).
  • Optimize and export final videos in various formats and resolutions for different distribution channels (e.g., social media, web, broadcast).
  • Manage, organize, and archive video project files and assets efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, editing techniques, and new software to maximize efficiency and creativity.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer).
  • Solid experience with motion graphics, visual effects, and related software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
  • Excellent sense of pacing, timing, visual composition, and storytelling.
  • Strong knowledge of video formats, codecs, compression techniques, and best practices for various platforms.
  • Attention to detail and a critical eye for visual and audio quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
