The Project Supervisor for Technical & Facilities is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and closure of all technical maintenance, repair, and minor construction projects (including new cafe openings and renovations) across the Auro Cafe network. This role ensures that all projects, particularly those involving critical systems like HVAC and refrigeration, are delivered on time, within budget, and to the high-quality standards necessary to support premium retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

I. Project Planning & Management

  • Develop detailed project plans (scope, timeline, budget, resource allocation) for facility upgrades, equipment replacements, and new store build-outs.
  • Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, evaluate bids from contractors (HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance), and recommend vendors based on cost, quality, and proven reliability.
  • Oversee and supervise all on-site contractor work, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, contractual agreements, and Auro Cafe's quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with blueprints and specifications.

II. Technical Oversight & Quality Control

  • Serve as the primary technical expert for facility systems, providing guidance to the Project Assistant and solving complex maintenance issues that contractors may face.
  • Validate the quality of all completed technical work, including commissioning and testing of new or repaired HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes, fire safety regulations, and environmental standards related to construction and system installation.
  • Approve final documentation from contractors, including warranties, operating manuals, and as-built drawings, ensuring they are properly archived.

III. Financial & Administrative

  • Maintain strict control over project budgets, tracking expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and approving all project-related expenses.
  • Work closely with the Project Assistant to ensure all contract administration, work orders, invoicing, and change orders are accurately processed and documented in the CMMS.
  • Provide regular status reports and project forecasts to the Operations Manager and executive leadership, highlighting potential risks and mitigation strategies.
