About the Role:
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in aluminium façades. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical estimating expertise with strong organisational and operational skills. You'll play a key role in ensuring our project scopes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with builder requirements — while also supporting internal business operations and helping streamline our processes as we grow. The successful candidate will assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a wide variety of commercial projects, helping maintain the company's reputation for precision and quality in bidding and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Estimation and take-off activities across various façade systems

  • Accurately quantify façade types, fixing systems, sealants (silicone/polyurethane), and associated materials

  • Ensure all scopes align with builder-issued Scope of Works documents

  • Recommend and implement estimating software (Bluebeam preferred; open to better alternatives)

  • Develop and maintain delivery tracking systems using shipping/container documentation

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining key operational registers:

    • Plant & equipment

    • Harness and safety gear

    • Servicing and maintenance logs

  • Support general business organisation and help improve internal workflows

  • Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.

  • Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates using industry-standard software.

  • Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Maintain cost databases and ensure pricing is updated with market trends.

  • Assist in the preparation and formatting of professional tender submissions.

  • Communicate regularly with the estimating team during overlapping work hours.

Skills & Experience:

  • Licensed civil engineer

  • At least 7 years of experience in construction estimating, with specific expertise in aluminium façades

  • Deep understanding of construction scopes, materials, and methodologies

  • Proficiency in estimation software (Bluebeam or similar) and advanced Excel skills

  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, clear estimates

  • Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills

  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively
