Job description:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN) with a strong background in virtual patient engagement to join our team. In this role, you will use our Health Engine Recall System to initiate calls to patients, discuss medical results, provide education, and coordinate follow-up appointments.

This position is ideal for a nurse who enjoys patient interaction in a non-clinical, remote environment and values clear communication and proactive care.

What You'll Do

  • Make scheduled virtual outbound calls to patients using our Health Engine Recall System.
  • Handle inbound and outbound voice calls with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
  • Review and explain test results clearly and accurately to patients (as per the scope of practice and clinical guidelines).
  • Discuss necessary follow-up steps, including upcoming appointments, screenings, or repeat testing.
  • Provide basic health education and reassurance where appropriate.
  • Identify urgent or complex clinical needs and escalate to the appropriate clinician.
  • Accurately document all interactions and update patient records in the system.
  • Ensure all patient communications are delivered with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Document clinical interactions accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or other health information systems.
  • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies, complying with HIPAA and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What We're Looking For:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)
  • Minimum of 3-year experience in telehealth, telephone triage, or virtual care preferred.
  • Comfortable working with patient management or recall systems (experience with Health Engine is a strong advantage).
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
  • Tech-savvy and confident using digital tools and electronic health records.
  • Warm, patient-focused, and adaptable to remote work.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a virtual clinical team.
  • Previous experience in primary care, chronic disease management, or preventative health is a plus.
