About the Job

The Fixed Asset and Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining the Company's fixed assets and inventory records, ensuring timely recognition, accurate monitoring and reporting, and proper valuation in accordance with accounting standards and Company policies.

Ensure that PSACC follows proper fixed assets and inventory management, accurate financial reporting, proper compliance/ execution of operating controls and deployment of adequate system management.

Inventory Management:

1. Ensure proper monitoring and maintenance of accurate inventory records.

2. Oversee the proper classification, coding, mapping and configuration of inventory by coordinating closely with IT team and SCM team.

3. Supervise monthly reconciliation of the inventory subsidiary and general ledgers between Sertica and Netsuite

4. Oversee regular inventory count in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring discrepancies are promptly investigated and reconciled.

5. Ensure consistency in inventory valuation method adopted by the Company i.e. FIFO

6. Prepare and validate inventory-related reports and analyses

7. Lead coordination with Vessel Operations, Shore Operations and SCM teams to manage inventory levels effectively.

8. Ensure full compliance with Company policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

Fixed Asset Management:

1. Maintain and update the fixed asset register in Netsuite and monitor controlled-capital type (CCT) as outlined in FIN Advisory Addendum to Guidelines on Fixed Assets Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) including Dry Docking.

2. Track asset acquisitions, transfers, retirements, and disposals in Netsuite system.

3. Ensure proper classification, coding, mapping and configuration of fixed assets by coordinating closely with IT team.

4. Perform periodic physical verification of fixed assets.

5. Ensure proper and timely recording of capitalization, depreciation, transfer, and disposal, for all fixed assets.

6. Prepare and maintain detailed records of fixed assets, including cost, accumulated depreciation, and net book value including any fixed asset damages.

7. Ensure compliance with Company policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).

Financial Reporting

1. Assist the Fixed Asset and Inventory Manager to facilitate the preparation of financial statements and reports related to Fixed Assets and Inventory.

2. Provide data and analysis for budgeting and forecasting activities.

3. Support internal and external audits related to fixed assets and inventory.

4. Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes including ad-hoc reports and reconciliations.

Compliance and Control

1. Support the establishment, update and implementation of policies and procedures for fixed asset and inventory management.

2. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.

3. Identify and mitigate risks associated with fixed asset and inventory management.

System Management

1. Utilize accounting software to track and report fixed assets and inventory (Netsuite, Sertica).

2. Ensure system data integrity and accuracy.

3. Collaborate with IT Team to enhance system capabilities

Continuous Improvement

1. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

2. Participate in cross-functional projects to optimize fixed asset and inventory management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus
• Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory and fixed assets.
• Experience in External / Internal Audit on Inventory or Fixed Assets is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (GAAP, IFRS)
• Experienced in NetSuite and Sertica is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (excel, power point)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Diligent with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively in team settings
• Adaptable and effective in managing change
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
