Accounts Receivable Associate

An Accounts Receivable (AR) manages a company's incoming payments, ensuring timely collection of funds owed by customers. This involves tasks like generating invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. They play a crucial role in securing revenue and maintaining healthy cash flow for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoicing: Creating and sending invoices to customers for goods or services rendered.
- Payment Processing: Receiving and accurately recording customer payments, including cash, checks, and electronic transfers.
- Account Management: Maintaining customer accounts, including updating contact information and payment history.
- Collections: Monitoring outstanding invoices, contacting customers regarding overdue payments, and negotiating payment plans.
- Reconciliation: Ensuring that customer accounts and payments reconcile with the company's financial records.
- Reporting: Generating reports on accounts receivable balances, aging of receivables, and payment trends.
- Dispute Resolution: Investigating and resolving any discrepancies or disputes related to customer accounts.
- Credit Management: Applying fair credit practices and assessing customer creditworthiness.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting regulations and company policies.
Skills Required:
- Accounting and Bookkeeping: Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
- Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for maintaining accurate records.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to customer accounts and payments.
