Job Description:

Masagana Gas Corporation is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Paralegal. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in legal and administrative functions within a dynamic and growing company.

Paralegal Functions:

  • Provides administrative support to MGC's Legal Department
  • Organizes, files, and safekeeps the Legal Department's files
  • Maintains the office calendar, including but not limited to schedules of meetings, compliance deadlines, events, task reminders, and court filings
  • Collates and routes documents for signature
  • Handles internal and external correspondences with minimal supervision
  • Drafts letters and Secretary's Certificates subject for review by the Company's legal counsels
  • Proactively monitors pending legal matters
  • Prepares and encodes data required by the Legal Department
  • Conducts preliminary data-gathering on matters referred to the Legal Department
  • Liaises with Government agencies upon the instruction of the Company's legal counsels
  • Assists members of the Legal Department, Human Resource and Admin Department, and Compliance Department on administrative matters whenever necessary
  • Perform such other functions as may be assigned or delegated by the Corporate Secretary and the Corporate Legal Associate

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any bachelor's degree— preferably, of Bachelor of Science in Legal Management or any communications program
  • No minimum work experience required
  • Proficient in English, both written and oral
  • Effective at multi-tasking
  • Quick thinker and solution-oriented
  • Team player
  • Pleasing personality

Requirements

  • Written output, including articles published in the student paper, thesis, and other writings
  • Practical examination on writing skills (preferably, during onsite interview)
