About the role

The Engineering Supervisor is a critical role within the Holiday Plaza Hotel, responsible for leading and overseeing the hotel's engineering operations. As part of a dynamic and growing team, you will ensure the seamless functioning of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, contributing to the overall guest experience. This is a full-time position based in Cebu City, Cebu.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the engineering department, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance monitoring
  2. Coordinate the preventive maintenance and repair of all hotel equipment, systems, and infrastructure
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
  4. Liaise with hotel management to address any engineering-related concerns or issues
  5. Oversee the training and development of the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  6. Manage the engineering department's budget and resources effectively
  7. Implement and monitor energy-efficient practices to enhance the hotel's sustainability efforts

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the engineering or facilities management field, preferably in the hospitality industry
  2. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  3. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  4. Ability to effectively lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineering professionals
  5. Proficient in project management, budget control, and resource allocation
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders
  7. Commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and environmentally-friendly work environment
