As a Junior Accountant, you will play a critical support role within the Finance team, assisting in core accounting operations while gaining exposure to broader financial processes. You will work closely with senior finance professionals to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, assist in month-end activities, and support the implementation of process improvements and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly financial close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and basic accruals
  • Maintain and update supporting schedules and reports for internal use
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in the accounting system (e.g., Xero)
  • Help monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Provide support during audits by preparing requested documentation and schedules
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
  • Help maintain organized and up-to-date accounting documentation and SOPs
  • Identify and report discrepancies or issues to senior staff
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives

Who You Are

  • 0–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience (internships or entry-level roles)
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (new passers with no experience are encouraged to apply)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero (preferred but not required)
  • High attention to detail and a structured, organized working style
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to the month-end close process
  • Experience assisting with audits or compliance-related tasks
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis concepts
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development
  • Ability to take initiative and propose improvements
