Job Description:

As a Field Electrician at Lumitron, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and repair of our lighting systems. You will be responsible for executing technical tasks with precision and efficiency to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation: Perform the installation of various lighting systems, including LED fixtures, controls, and wiring, according to blueprints, specifications, and client requirements. Ensure that installations are completed accurately and in compliance with industry standards.

  2. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on lighting systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Diagnose electrical and technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions promptly.

  3. Testing and Commissioning: Conduct testing and commissioning activities on newly installed lighting systems to verify functionality and performance. Collaborate with team members to address any deficiencies and ensure systems meet client expectations.

  4. Troubleshooting: Respond to service calls and inquiries from clients regarding technical issues with lighting systems. Investigate problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to restore functionality and minimize downtime.

  5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all installation, maintenance, and repair activities, including work orders, service reports, and equipment inventory. Ensure that documentation is complete, organized, and easily accessible for reference.

  6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all relevant safety regulations, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

  7. Customer Interaction: Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, answering questions, and providing guidance on the use and maintenance of lighting systems. Represent Lumitron positively and uphold the company's reputation for exceptional service.

  8. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest advancements in lighting technology, electrical systems, and industry best practices through training programs, workshops, and self-study. Apply new knowledge and skills to enhance job performance and contribute to the success of the team.

Qualifications:


• Technical diploma or vocational training in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.


• Proven experience as a technician or electrician, preferably in the lighting or electrical industry.


• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and circuitry.


• Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and repair tasks.


• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.


• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.


• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.


• Valid electrical license/certification is preferred.


• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different job sites as needed. The applicant should have his own motorcycle.
