Job description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to evaluate, assemble, and maintain electrical systems in equipment, especially airport systems and infrastructure which are predominantly portable. The electrical technician does not design electrical systems but will identify potential problems in design.

To be successful as an electrical technician, you should be able to read electrical system design plans and recommend improvements, as well as calibrate instruments, and diagnose faulty equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Accomplish daily and periodic inspections of the baggage handling equipment.
  • Monitors the daily operations of the Baggage-Handling-System (BHS) and all its subcomponents.
  • Assist in resolving operational issues during outages or failures.
  • Respond to and clear faults in a timely manner.
  • Report any issues found that could potentially lead to additional system failures.
  • Alert team members and Group Leaders of any potential unsafe conditions.
  • Responsible for safely clearing of bag jams
  • Preforms duties and tasks in the Maintenance Diagnostic System (MDS)
  • Performs duties and tasks in the Sortation Allocation Control (SAC)
  • Assist in the mechanical and electrical repairs when needed by manually moving baggage during system outages.
  • Barcoding/Encoding bag tags in Manual Encoding Station (MES).
  • Perform general clean-up of work areas and conveyor equipment and monitor and assist the flow of baggage through critical areas of the system.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as required.

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-year vocational or graduate degree related to technical and electrical maintenance.
  • Certification of NCII in Electrical & Maintenance is an advantage.
  • Experience and knowledge in electromechanical and technical know-how.
  • Experienced with control system.
  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship.
  • At least 1 years' experience as an electrical technician.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Php18, Php22,000.00 per month
