Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage).

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, invoicing, credit & collections.
  • Ability to prepare and process sales invoices, credit memos, and customer statements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, spreadsheets, reconciliations).
  • Knowledge of GAAP basics and standard accounting principles.
  • Experience posting payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and send accurate customer invoices.
  • Process customer payments (checks, ACH, credit card, wire).
  • Maintain aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve billing issues or customer disputes.
  • Reconcile AR account balances at month-end.
  • Record and track receivables, deposits, and adjustments.
  • Work with the sales team, customer service, and management on credit limits and payment schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
