Branch Accounting Associate

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Branch Accounting Associate is responsible for handling accounting and financial tasks for the Centers. This includes processing disbursements, managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting Oversight:

● Responsible for checking, monitoring, and recording monthly Financial Reports submitted by the Branch Partner.

● Ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting processes.

Payables Management:

● Prepare and monitor accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, encoding, and payment preparation.

● Ensure timely and accurate processing of payables and disbursements.

Accounting Tasks:

● Check and record daily requests and disbursements to maintain financial accuracy and control.

● Handle general accounting tasks such as general journal entries, ledger maintenance, and other financial reporting activities.

● Monitor construction costs and fixed assets of the centers.

● Prepare and update lapsing schedules to manage fixed asset depreciation.

● Handle accounts receivable, general journal entries, ledger maintenance, and other financial reporting tasks.

● Ensure accuracy and completeness in recording financial transactions.

Billing and Collections Management:

● Prepare and monitor billing and collections processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

● In charge of the verification and confirmation of payments made thru UB Payment Gateway.

Payroll Administration:

● Verify and upload payroll information for the branches, ensuring accuracy in payroll processing.

Process Optimization:

● Optimize accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.

● Utilize financial management software and systems to streamline financial reporting andtransactions.Financial Software and Systems:

● Use financial management software to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.

Communication and Collaboration:

● Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support cross-functional initiatives.

● Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the finance and other departments.

Competency:

● Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry trends.

● Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all financial activities.

● Performs any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Location: Regalado Avenue, West Fairview, Quezon City

Work Arrangement: Full onsite, Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any related field
• At least 1 year of experience in general accounting, payables, billing, collections, or related financial work (fresh graduates are welcome but experience is an advantage)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic auditing procedures
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel; experience with accounting systems is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, able to handle multiple deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with different departments
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Willing to work full onsite and be assigned to Regalado Avenue, West Fairview QC
