Admin Estimator – Residential Construction (Cubit / Quantity Surveying Background)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Admin Estimator with strong experience in Cubit and a Quantity Surveying background to join our growing residential construction team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender documentation, and supporting the project delivery team. This position bridges both estimation and administrative coordination, ensuring seamless communication between design, construction, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for residential construction projects using Cubit.
  • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and measurements across all building trades.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations.
  • Maintain and update internal cost databases and pricing templates.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, bid documentation, and project cost reports.
  • Support project managers and site teams with budget tracking, cost analysis, and financial control.
  • Provide administrative assistance including report preparation, document management, and data entry.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Australian construction regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management
  • Minimum 2–5 years' experience in residential construction estimating.
  • Proficiency in Cubit software (Required).
  • Solid understanding of Australian construction standards, codes, and pricing structures.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience in Procurement and Contract Administration.
  • Exposure to custom home builds or multi-unit residential projects.
  • Experience within a Quantity Surveying
