We’re hiring a Solar Estimator at Cloudstaff in the Philippines. The role focuses on preparing accurate solar system designs, cost estimates, and proposals to support our sales and engineering teams. The position is hybrid, with a morning shift schedule. We encourage candidates to submit a 1–2 minute video introduction and their updated CV to become a priority applicant. Work Arrangement Hybrid – Philippines, Angeles (Pampanga) Schedule Morning shift Key Responsibilities Site Assessment & Data Review – review site plans, aerial imagery, and client-provided data; assess roof orientation, shading, tilt, and usable space for solar array placement. System Design & Sizing – use solar design tools (Pylon, OpenSolar, Helioscope, Aurora Solar, etc.) to produce optimized layouts and determine system size based on energy consumption, roof space, and client needs. Cost Estimation & Bill of Materials – prepare detailed cost estimates covering all system components, labour, and materials; generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and pricing for proposals and approvals. Proposal Preparation – create comprehensive client proposals including savings projections, ROI, payback analysis, and ensure all proposals comply with local standards, rebate programs, and incentives. Regulatory & Compliance Support – assist in preparing documents for grid connection, rebate applications, and permits; ensure designs meet Australian Standards and CEC guidelines (or equivalent regional requirements). Coordination with Sales & Engineering – collaborate with sales for fast and accurate quotation support; provide preliminary designs and data for engineering review and final approval. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in solar estimation, design, or a similar technical role. Proficient in solar design software such as Aurora Solar, Helioscope, Pylon, or OpenSolar. Strong analytical and technical drawing interpretation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Knowledge of Australian solar standards, grid requirements, and rebate processes is highly preferred.
