Job Title: Head of Technical - Facade Design Department

Job Description:

Doublewin Aluminum Industry Corp. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Technical for the Facade Design Department. This role will be responsible for leading and managing the design department for facade systems, specifically focusing on glass and aluminum applications.

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the design team, guiding them in the development of innovative and high-quality facade solutions.

  2. Team Management: Manage a team of designers and engineers, overseeing their workloads, performance, and professional development.

  3. Design Oversight: Lead the design process for facade projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

  4. Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in glass and aluminum facade systems to provide technical guidance and support to the design team.

  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, architects, engineers, and clients, to develop comprehensive facade design solutions that meet project objectives and client expectations.

  6. Innovation: Drive continuous improvement and innovation in facade design processes, materials, and technologies to enhance project outcomes and maintain competitiveness in the market.

  7. Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of facade design deliverables.

  8. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential design risks and challenges, proactively addressing issues to minimize project disruptions and ensure timely delivery.

  9. Documentation: Oversee the preparation of design documentation, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports, in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

  10. Training and Development: Provide training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in facade design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in facade design, with a focus on glass and aluminum systems.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving project goals.

  • Strong technical expertise in facade design principles, materials, construction methods, and industry standards.

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other relevant design tools.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Knowledge of sustainability principles and green building practices is desirable.
