Civil Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer with 3 years of experience to join our team, focusing on the design, construction, and maintenance of cold storage buildings. the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeeing the engineering aspects of cold strorage facility projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet industry standards for safety, efficiency, and sustainability. This role will require close collaboration with contractors, workers, and other engineers, ensuring the cold storage building meets all structural, environmental and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan the civil engineering aspects of cold storage buildings, including structural foundations, walls, roofing, drainage, and utilities.
• Develop and review site plans, technical drawings, and specifications for cold storage facilities, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to assess the suitability of project locations and ensure the quality and progress of ongoing construction activities.
• Oversee the construction process, coordinating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure the project follows the established timeline, budget, and quality standards.
• Manage the structural integrity of cold storage buildings, including considerations for temperature control, insulation, and durability under varying conditions.
• Provide technical expertise in foundation design, load calculations, and material selection for cold storage environments.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and cost estimates for the design and construction of cold storage buildings.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure integrated solutions that optimize the building's functionality.
• Review and approve construction methods, materials, and processes to ensure adherence to best practices for cold storage facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and local building codes.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and progress reports, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Provide support and guidance to junior engineers and other technical staff during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Registered Civil Engineer
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a focus on industrial or cold storage building projects,
• Experience in the design and construction of cold storage or similar temperature-sensitive facilities.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of structural design principles, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with cold storage building systems, including thermal insulation, refrigeration, and energy-efficient construction methods.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance.
