About the role

As a Supplier Management Officer at Gothong Southern Shipping Lines, Inc.', you will play a vital role in the company's procurement and supplier management processes. This full-time position, based in Manila City Metro Manila, will involve overseeing the relationship between the company and its suppliers, ensuring efficient and effective contract management.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the onboarding and ongoing relationship with suppliers, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain supplier databases, tracking key information such as contract terms, delivery schedules, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address supply chain risks and opportunities
  • Prepare and review procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management strategies and best practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of supplier management processes and systems

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a supplier management or procurement-related role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry
  • Strong understanding of contract management principles and the ability to interpret and apply contractual terms
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the use of procurement software and tools
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
